World of Warcraft gives the official preview of Patch 10.1, Embers of Neltharion, detailing when players can get each of the update's features.

Patch 10.1 is really a substantial content patch visiting World of Warcraft soon. This major update will be visiting Dragonflight in 2 major installments: one on May 2, and another on May 9.

The May 2 update introduces the bulk of Embers of Neltharion to Dragonflight. Players are going to be able to explore the brand new Zaralek Cavern zone, take part in new overworld activities, and experience another campaign towards the story of Dragonflight. Cross-faction guilds are now being added to the game, along with a new system for upgrading items originating through the brand-new Niffen Renown faction in World of Warcraft. The popular Dragonriding product is also being expanded with increased glyphs and talents, in addition to a new kind of base mount, the Winding Slitherdrake. Buying WOTLK Classic Gold and wotlk classic boosting can help boost your gear in WotLK, which benefits physical damage dealers and specs that benefit from scaling.

On May 9, World of Warcraft is throwing open the gates of Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible, the 2nd raid in Dragonflight. Players will plumb the depths of Neltharion’s ancient research facility, battling Djaradin warlords and twisted experiments to gather brand-new tier sets. Season 2 of Mythic+ begins with all new rewards and dungeons to challenge. Above ground, Fyrakk will take towards the sky inside a new world event where players will battle the mad Primal Incarnate to earn special rewards, cosmetics, and much more.

Beyond that, World of Warcraft players can get new customization options, quality-of-life improvements, and balance updates. Most classes can get some fine-tuning, but others, like Shadow Priest, are now being reworked. World of Warcraft is even adding new side-story quests, including one hinting at the return of the unexpected character from Legion and another going through the Blue Dragonflight.

With Patch 10.1 right around the corner, WoW players happen to be looking forward to what uses that. Rumors swirl about where World of Warcraft goes in 10.2 and beyond, with players wondering who the ultimate boss of Dragonflight may be. Speculation aside, WoW’s aggressive release schedule means players won’t need to wait too much time to find out. 10.1 may be the third of six planned patches for 2023, the last of which is going to be 10.2 this winter. Players can get to start seeing much more hints regarding where the story of Dragonflight is headed during Embers of Neltharion as well as in the updates that follow.
