Life. It's never an an easy path. We come into this world, completely naked and helpless. For the first 18 years of our lives we have been cared for and nurtured, up until we are ready to survive on our own in the world. Without parent(s), we wouldn't even exist. Our parents make sure we are fed, clothed and sheltered as we continue to grow. Our parents protect us from harm, while we learn and adapt to the world environments under their watchful eye unknowing to us that our existence coul...

Looking beyond, the plan is to completely redesign front end from the ground up for React and after that a redesign of the backend as well to help us keep with the latest technology..

So, I was looking to pick up a new server as an addition to the ones I have at home. I can get a 16 core that'd suck-up 840 watts idle. After looking at the trusty 8 server I've built a few years back I am reconsidering my initial decision. The server I've built still running today and draws only 160-180 watts at full throttle. I figure I can build 4 of my own system to give me 32 cores and would only draw about 640 watts. The inconvenience is that I would have to source each component. The...

The Federal Communications Commission is inviting public comments about proposed rules that would gut net neutrality and hand over the internet to big cable companies like Comcast, AT&T, and Verizon. This is a really important issue to keep the internet open, healthy and free from corporate control. I just submitted a comment to the FCC -- I hope you will too! Here's the link: https://advocacy.mozilla.org/net-neutrality-comments/?sp_ref=318168359.352.181032.e.576755.2&source=email

175 watts is the total power being pulled from the grid. 1 x 128 core server and 2 routers.  Half of the solar panels being shaded by 5pm.  I can probably  squeeze more power from the panels and bump the efficiency up a bit if I switch to the enphase 240v micro inverters instead of the current single string 125v grid tie inverter.
