Let's start the ball rolling by discussing the PRICE. Genuine "UGG Australia" sheepskin boots can be expensive. I won't mention any figures, because prices vary and differ from time to time. But here's what I sUGGest you are able to do to "root out" obvious fakes: if there are several stores offering UGGs in your area, take a look at each and everyone's prices. If they"re all bunched together inside a small range, that means 1.) Either they're all selling genuine UGGs, which will be good; or 2.) They are all selling fakes, which is too bad. My point is, if one store provides a price that is significantly much, much below others, then, in any language, that's a giveaway that that store is selling fake UGGs.

Most countries have strict rules against making or selling counterfeit goods. Other countries could care less. The funny thing is; most countries make counterfeit goods illegal to sell, but it's okay to own it in your possession in small quantity. I don't think I'll ever understand federal laws, I just obey them.General principle, if your country has federal laws, chances are it is VERY ILLEGAL to create or sell counterfeit/fake goods of any kind. If you're country does not have a federal laws, odds are your country could care less if you make or sell counterfeit or fake goods scannable fake id.

But you can find ways around it also. If it is a look-a-like without the company logo or name is isn't considered a phony or counterfeit. You can sell this legally so long as you don't promote it because the manufacturer in question. But, if the item has either the company brand logo or name on it anywhere it is considered a fake/counterfeit and it's VERY ILLEGAL to buy or sell. "If it has the brand name or logo onto it, it doesn't even need to resemble the product to be illegal to sell" ;.

Counterfeiting a brandname name is really a major federal crime. Trademark and copyright infringement certainly are a huge problem in the USA today and will come with jail time and/or big fines. You will find over a hundred thousand counterfeiting rings which were busted last year. Some people say you're okay if you don't advertise the brand name. This is only okay if your product doesn't have a company name or logo on it anywhere. Look-a-likes without having a business name or logo are tolerated if they are not advertised since the manufacturer product.
